MFLOW

Professional Learning Workshop

Audience:
4th - 8th Grade Teachers

Saturday, September 27, 2025
8:30 AM - 4 PM

Participants will receive a $400 stipend for attending the workshop and an additional $400 stipend for two classroom visits and survey completion.

You will learn how to use MFLOW, a web-based programming platform, to create and engineer sound compositions while exploring the fundamentals of coding.

 This workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Victor Minces, a neuroscientist of music and a sound artist who designed the web applications, and Dr. Alec Barron, the Director of the San Diego Science Project at UC San Diego.

Workshop Goal

Learn how to implement an NGSS-aligned curriculum and gain tools to engage students in coding and sound engineering through hands-on design challenges.
