Understanding Global Change Modeling Kit for teachers in grades 5-12

August 5th and 6th

At the Climate Champions Design Summit, you will experience a sequence of learning on a local climate-based phenomenon. From exploration of this phenomenon, you will be equipped to support students with using the Understanding Global Change (UGC) framework to construct models and evidence-based explanations in any unit of instruction.  Additionally, you will learn strategies and tools to help incorporate an Earth systems perspective into your curriculum and adapt existing resources.

You will be provided a $300 stipend and an Understanding Global Change Modeling Kit (Estimated value of $400) for participating in the summit and community of practice meetings.
